According to information obtained from the law enforcement the suspect by the name Ben Okello was previously employed as a security guard . It is alleged that  Ben Okello robbed the said gun from two private guards of TIME COP security at a guard point at Go Cult sports recreation center in Neziba cell in Ndebele division.

In a statement dated August 8 police spokesperson Fred Enanga says three days after the alleged robbery the suspect was arrested from Chiba trading center with the gun concealed in the Kanzu he was wearing.
