Residents of Buddu County have come together to launch the vibrant festivities commemorating the 31st coronation anniversary of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi. The celebrations commenced with a spirited cleanliness drive known as “Bulungi bwansi,” reflecting the community’s dedication to hygiene and collective pride.

Jude Muleke, the chief of Buddu County, emphasized the importance of the cleanliness drive, stating that it instills values of cleanliness and hygiene as integral aspects of the community’s identity.

He expressed his delight in witnessing children actively embracing these values and urged head teachers to ensure that cleanliness efforts continue in schools as part of the coronation celebrations

In a powerful display of solidarity, Kabaka’s chiefs from Mituba 22 in Kitanda, Bukomansimbi district, donated over 1,000,000 “Olumuli” towards the completion of the Buddukiro house. Led by Kalawudiyo Nsubuga, the chiefs emphasized the ceremonial significance of finishing the structure in time for the Kabaka’s coronation.

They highlighted their role as custodians of tradition and their commitment to ensuring the honor and dignity of the kingdom.
