In an unfortunate incident at the Luwero Sugar Factory, a worker identified as Rowthomiyo Isaac lost his life after being crushed on the job by machines .
The incident occurred on Monday morning at around 9:00am and it serves as a grim reminder of the importance of workplace safety.
Meanwhile according to the available information from Savannah regional police spokesperson Mr Sam Twineamazima, the heap of waste material alias bagasse that remains after crushing sugarcane and is used to heat the boiler fell on the deceased before he slipped into the machine which crushed him to death much as police the police are still investigating the precise details surrounding the incident which are yet to be fully disclosed, but it is evident that immediate action must be taken to investigate the circumstances that led to this unfortunate event.
