Lamwo district leaders in have come under scrutiny as investigations are launched into their alleged mishandling of funds disbursed by the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).

The resident district commissioner Geoffrey Osborn confirmed the probe is on after complaints from the locals who reported that their leaders had erroneously benefited from the program and deprived the intended beneficiaries.

According to reports, irregularities were discovered in the utilization of the funds meant for development projects in the district. The allegations surfaced following an audit conducted by the OPM, which exposed discrepancies in the financial management practices of the Lamwo leadership.
